THE SHUTDOWN PORTRAITS
Portraits from the visual journalism Shutdown Project Visits
From the moment the 2020 quarantine shut down struck, small businesses were hit with a death sentence, and the Shutdown Project was born. Trying to bring people into the empty spaces with me; to see owners as a person of their community first, and an owner second.
These are some of the portraits I've taken for the project of owners in their vacant businesses throughout Eastern Washington.
